Happy weekend loves!

Watch: Michael Kors   Bag:Tory Burch

This has been my spring and summer bag, can't seem to let it go.
On my nails, I'm wearing this months favorite nail polish from Essie called 'splash of grenadine'.

Cuff:Armani Exchange

I love this Armani double sided cuff. I could really see myself wearing this every day.
What do you think of it?

Dress:TJ Maxx

The weather in NY has been sizzling! I have been styling my hair in a high bun due to this heat wave.

Fried Chicken Tacos

Who doesn't love fried chicken and tacos? So why not put them together as Fried chicken tacos:)

These tacos are amazing!  They topped my favorite restaurants tacos, that's how good they are! The tomatillo salsa is the perfect hint of sour and spicy. And if you have leftover salsa(which I doubt you will) you can use it in the morning with scrambled eggs.. Yummmzer!

Total:35 min Plus 2hr marinating
4 servings

1/4 cup fresh lime juice
Kosher salt
4 large boneless chicken thighs with skin(about 5 ounces each)
pounded 1/3 inch thick
1/2 pound tomatillos, husked and quartered
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 serrano chiles or 1 large jalapeno with seeds, chopped
1 small onion, coarsely chopped
3 tablespoon cilantro leaves
1 Hass avocado, cut into 1/2-inch dice
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
large pinch of cayenne pepper
vegetable oil, for frying
warn corn tortillas, for serving

1. In a small bowl, combine 2 teaspoons of the lime juice with 1 teaspoon of salt, stirring to dissolve the salt. Add the chicken thighs and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 2 hours.

2. In a food processor, combine the tomatillos, garlic, onion and cilantro and process to a coarse puree. Transfer the salsa to a bowl and stir in the avocado and the remaining 2 tablespoons of lime juice. Season with salt.

3. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, black pepper, cayenne and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
4. In a large skillet, heat 1/3 inch of oil until shimmering. Dredge the chicken in flour, shaking off any excess. Fry the chicken over moderate heat until well browned and crisp, about 4 minutes per side. Transfer to paper towels to drain.

5. Cut the fried chicken into thin strips and serve with the tomatillo salsa and warm corn tortillas.

Give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

How Fashionating!

Surprisingly this outfit did not take long to put together. This look was inspired by a summer to fall outfit on this months issue of Elle Magazine(p. 42). I knew I wanted a sheer long sleeve with detailed accessories or detailed sleeves.

You are probably thinking, how could I wear a turtleneck in summer?
To be frankly I did not feel as if I wore it the entire day. Do to it being sheer, it is very light and airy.
I love 1900's fashion and this sheer turtleneck is elegant and dazzling which totally reminds me of the 1900's.

White Sleeveless Shirt:Uniqlo

Clutch:Macys   Stocking:Express
My idea of a memorable outfit is not about matching, is about how well you put together unmatchable pieces. This neutral outfit needed a pop of color, that is why I chose my versatile bright red clutch.

Shoes:Steve Madden
My hair and shoes are the only two important details which I put loads of thought into. I didn't want to match my shoes with the outfit on the grounds that I find it tacky. I chose a similar but darker shade of brown to match my turtleneck and stockings.

Earrings:Tory Burch   Necklace:F21   Sunnies:RayBan

Like I said before, it did not take long to put this outfit together. What did take long was figuring out what to do with my hair. Hairstyle is very important, it can make or destroy a look.
I wanted to go preppy all the way, so I went ahead and pined my fringe on top of my head and pulled my hair back as a pony tail.

I love how this look turned out. What do you think? What would you have done differently?

Take It Or Leave It

There are so many pictures I haven't posted because I'm not 100% satisfied with the outcome. Wish I could recreate this look with better lighting obv, but I've misplaced my YSL vintage scarf.
Here you go loves, Take It Or Leave It.

So preppy and cute, Isn't it?

I was told that this outfit is a cross between girl scouts and private school uniform. What are your thoughts?

Fathers Day Outfit

Get a glimpse at my fathers day outfit.

Dress:Karen Miller   Earrings:Vintage

If you follow me on Instagram you might remember this dress I  thrifted a few months back. The dress has plenty of details that caused me to fall in love with it.
I've been really liking single sleeved dresses for this weather in NY.
I didn't want to wear nude or black heels since that's pretty boring for me. So I went ahead and paired this fab dress with hot pink heels. I apologize for not having more pictures but the sun went down pretty fast once we started shooting and these were the most decent pictures I got.

Shoes:Charlotte Russe

Watch:Michael Kors   Bracelete:N/a

Happy Fathers day to my incredible father Johnny.
To my other half also the funniest and craziest brother in the world!
to the most amazing father of my kids, my husband.

Rocky Road

Hello weekend,

I've never came across a one shoulder dress with such pretty patterns and details in colors. I always get compliments when I wear it out in public. The best part of it is the $30 price tag, I got it at Mandee. I think it's a fair price for a maxi dress now a days. It's super comfortable since it has silk lining inside the dress.
This dress came with a thin double sided belt which I didn't love the way it made me look. I wore a thicker belt to emphasize my waist.

Belt:Club Monaco   Bracelet:Express

I love the way this last picture came out, It looks as If I edited it. You like?

Thanks for stopping by. Continue enjoying your weekend:)

A Visit To Central

Yesterday my husband took part in the JP Morgan Chase Corporate challenge
The run took place in Central Park, one of those places that make New York such a great place to live. The ginormous public park is in the center of Manhattan.
He had to complete a 4 mile run and we were there to cheer him on. Zareena and I spent the day snapping pictures of each other and contemplating the amazing view this city has to offer. We were there for a few hours and couldn't find a way out. Boy did the girls and I have fun!

Zareena wore a ruffle flower dress from DKNY to compliment the lavenders in the park. The weather was just right for this outfit. Her flowy hair and ruffle dress makes the perfect summery look for a toddler.

Dress:DKNY   Shoes:Marshalls

Bangles:Jackson Heights   Bag:Tory Burch

Necklace & Earrings:Local Store   Nails:Action by Essie   Top:Thrifted

Pants:H&M   Wedges:Michael Kors
These pants have such a long story behind them.
My husband bought these for himself 2 weeks ago and didn't try them on until yesterday only to find out that he got the wrong size. As a fashionista that I am, I decided to work with them. The fitting wasn't too big altho I had to wear a belt to hold them up. I rolled them up twice do to them being long or me being too short, haha.

I hope these tips help you wear your husbands pants too:)
