In Chicago With Delta Faucet

IMG_0735

If you follow me on instagram you are aware of my most recent trip to Chicago. I was invited to be a part of a cooking class with Chicago-based pastry chef and winner of the James Beard Foundation Award, Gale Gand. This was the first time I ever visited Chicago and was super excited to be there. While there I also received a tour of the beautiful Delta Faucet showroom which features all their amazing products and I got to test them all! It's really fascinating all you can learn from just faucets (& I knew nothing about faucets before this trip).

While in the showroom I tested many products and was absolutely blown away by the technology and detail of each one. I would always gaze at my tv screen every time the Touch2O Faucet collection commercial came on. I cannot wait to install one in my kitchen in the next few weeks. What I love most about the Touch2O Faucet is the super-cool tap on and off technology. My kids will have so much fun with it, but, not as much fun as I'm going to have showing my guests the coolest technology in my home!

After the tour was over, I headed to the cooking class which took place at The Chopping Block located in the Merchandise Mart. The team and I started by first making a Pea and Garlic Hummus (recipe here). We then created our own Grilled Cheese SandwichesAlli and I created a goat cheese + muenster cheese + fig spread + fig grilled cheese. It was delightfully cheesy! For dessert we made the fudgiest Salted Caramel Brownies. We also received Gale's latest cookbook Lunch! which she signed and personalized for me:) You all know me and my love for food/cooking... lets just say, at the end of the day I was a very happy girl!

During this trip I learned that making a mess and cleaning up is part of the fun when cooking with your family. & that's what Delta Faucet’s new #HappiMess campaign is all about. I'm glad Delta Faucet wants to be involved in creating these memorable clean up memories with all of us.

“Why do people treat mess like it’s a bad thing? It’s actually the evidence of a life well lived. When you’re out there making, creating, doing and playing, embrace your #HappiMess and let Delta kitchen and bath innovations help clean up so you can do it all again tomorrow.”
