How Fashionating!

Surprisingly this outfit did not take long to put together. This look was inspired by a summer to fall outfit on this months issue of Elle Magazine(p. 42). I knew I wanted a sheer long sleeve with detailed accessories or detailed sleeves.

Turtleneck:Express

You are probably thinking, how could I wear a turtleneck in summer?
To be frankly I did not feel as if I wore it the entire day. Do to it being sheer, it is very light and airy.
I love 1900's fashion and this sheer turtleneck is elegant and dazzling which totally reminds me of the 1900's.

White Sleeveless Shirt:Uniqlo

Clutch:Macys   Stocking:Express
My idea of a memorable outfit is not about matching, is about how well you put together unmatchable pieces. This neutral outfit needed a pop of color, that is why I chose my versatile bright red clutch.

Shoes:Steve Madden
My hair and shoes are the only two important details which I put loads of thought into. I didn't want to match my shoes with the outfit on the grounds that I find it tacky. I chose a similar but darker shade of brown to match my turtleneck and stockings.

Earrings:Tory Burch   Necklace:F21   Sunnies:RayBan

Like I said before, it did not take long to put this outfit together. What did take long was figuring out what to do with my hair. Hairstyle is very important, it can make or destroy a look.
I wanted to go preppy all the way, so I went ahead and pined my fringe on top of my head and pulled my hair back as a pony tail.

I love how this look turned out. What do you think? What would you have done differently?
