Hello Trendsters!! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and happy Holiday. Unfortunately, I didn't have a very 'merry' weekend. My youngest daughter, Leanne got some type of stomach virus and we weren't able to go out for two days. Thankfully, she's feeling much better now. Thank you everyone who sent out get well wishes.

Moving on to today's look; Burgundy Galore! This is probably my most favorite look I have ever shot on the blog. I think it has a lot to do with my new motivation, new goals and new haircut/hair color! You probably cannot see any difference because I always have my hair curled. A few days ago I was giving my girls their yearly haircut and decided I needed a bit of a change as well. I got a little scissor happy and cut more than i wanted to. I gave myself a layered cut and dyed my hair black. My natural hair color is light brown and I just love how healthy and shiny black hair looks. I think it's a good change for 2017. What do you think?

Hola Chicas! Espero que todas hayan tenido una Feliz Navidad y felices fiestas. Por desgracia, no tuve un muy 'feliz' fin de semana. Mi hija menor, Leanne tiene algún tipo de virus del estómago y no pudimos salir por dos días. Afortunadamente, ahora se siente mucho mejor. Gracias a todos los que enviaron buenos deseos.

Pasando a el look de hoy; Esta es probablemente mi mirada más favorita que he filmado en el blog. Creo que tiene mucho que ver con mi nueva motivación, nuevos objetivos y nuevo corte de pelo / color de pelo! Usted probablemente no puede ver ninguna diferencia porque siempre tengo mi cabello rizado. Hace unos días estaba dando a mis chicas su corte de pelo anual y decidí que yo necesitaba un cambio también. Me di un corte en capas y me teñí el pelo negro. Mi color de cabello natural es de color marrón claro y me encanta cómo el cabello negro se ve saludable y brillante. Creo que es un cambio bueno para el 2017. ¿Qué piensas?

Everyone is always so curious as to how we met. Moe and I. How two people who come from completely different backgrounds made an impossible marriage happen. On December 1st, 2016 we reached our 9th year wedding anniversary. 9 years filled with love and a rollercoaster of adventures. 

I remember when I met Moe and didn’t think I would ever see him again. That awkward moment when he said hello and I was in the middle of shoving a burger down my throat (it's true). 

Our story wasn't love at first sight nor has it been rainbows and butterflies. It has been a wild ride filled with many emotions, supporting each others crazy ideas and overcoming many cultural barriers. Yet, we're here. Together as one.

Over the course of 9 years we have learned to listen to our hearts and not the loud noise around us. We have learned to follow our dreams and not the traditional path that was written for us. We've learned that only one thing really matters in life and that's Happiness.

NEW* UES Healthy Restaurant // Dig Inn

I recently visited Dig Inn's new Upper East Side location (1297 Lexington ave) and I couldn't wait to bring you my thoughts here on NYTM. Even though it was my first time visiting, I have only heard amazing things about it via friends so I knew I was in for a treat.

Dig Inn serves seasonal and locally sourced American food, using only the best ingredients and always trying to offer healthier options. We (New Yorkers) need more restaurants like these in our area specially our youth. To be completely honest, I was a little hesitant to bring my daughters here only for one reason, it's what Zareena and Leanne would call a "healthy place". I don't know what it is but the minute our youth hears the word 'healthy' they automatically shy away from it. They think they will be eating only carrots and celery. At least that's what I thought when I was younger. However, times have changed and you can substitute nearly anything with a healthier option.

 For example; when my girls looked at the brunch menu at Dig Inn. They decided to go with the waffles until they read the 'quinoa' part. Yes, it's true! The waffles they serve are made from quinoa. Of course, my girls changed their minds. Nonetheless, I still ordered them because I wanted to give it a try. Mind-blowing! Way better than standard waffles. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just like a waffle is supposed to be. They even cook them with coconut oil so you get a mouthful of wonderful flavors. It was so good that my girls admitted healthier waffles do taste a lot better than regular ones. Ugh! We can't imagine eating regular waffles after these. 

Moving on to one of my favorite things in life, Avocados. I remember being 5 years old and my grandmother making me avocado toast as an afternoon snack while I sat on a rocking chair underneath a mango tree. Always so simple and delicious. I wonder how this dish which came from humble beginnings become so popular in major cities? I don't have the answer to this question but I'm glad it did. Of course, Dig Inn is adding their own spin to this classic dish. They are adding ricotta cheese and lemon zest which simply adds an immense amount of freshness as well as an extra layer of flavor. So good!!

You can't think of a healthy breakfast/brunch without having almond butter with bananas cross your mind. This is a great healthy option for those who love something sweet in the morning. 

Black Is Always In

I'm back again with an outfit post. Today's look is an all-black outfit. One of my favorites to style. They always turn out effortlessly chic. 

You might remember this Spratters & Jayne scarf from a few months ago. It's my absolute favorite because of it's design and incredible warmth. Even though I'm wearing a blazer and a skirt in 40 degree weather, I'm not cold whatsoever due to this scarf. It's almost like wearing the most cozy blanket ever. My favorite way to style this scarf is with an all-black outfit since this way you'e able to really focus on the unique design of the scarf. & in case you're wondering, It's always a show stopper when I wear it out.  

Today I'm pairing it with this Tart Collections skirt. It's the prettiest skirt I currently own (I'm obsessed with it!). The material is a super soft faux leather with four beautiful cutouts around the skirt. I decided to wear it without leggings but you can totally add black leggings for a more elegant chic look. This skirt would be perfect for any Holiday look.

Estoy de vuelta con un look nuevo. El look de hoy es un traje todo negro. Uno de mis favoritos para estilar. Siempre resultan bien chic y sin esfuerzo.

Puede que recuerdes esta bufanda de Spratters y Jayne de hace unos meses. Es mi favorita debido a su diseño y lo mucho que mantiene caliente. A pesar de que estoy usando una chaqueta y una falda en un clima de 40 grados, no tengo frío en absoluto debido a esta bufanda. Es casi como usar la manta más acogedora. Mi forma favorita de estilar esta bufanda es con un traje de todo negro ya que puedes realmente ver el diseño único de la bufanda. 

Hoy estoy emparejándola con esta falda de Tart Collections. Es la falda más linda que poseo actualmente. Estoy obsesionada con ella! Ya me la e puesto 3 veces y solo tengo una semana con ella. El material es un cuero suave con cuatro recortes hermosos alrededor de la falda. Decidí usarla sin leggings pero puedes agregar totalmente polainas negras para una mirada más elegante. Esta falda sería perfecta para cualquier look de día de fiesta.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving day! 

I actually took a small break after quite sometime. It felt really nice and refreshing to spend much needed time with family, do a little Black Friday shopping and upgrade my phone to an iPhone 7. Surprisingly, it was a very productive break to say the least. However, I must admit I missed my social media family too. Feels good to be back!

Every year during this time I love switching my style (just a bit). Since December is my wedding anniversary and birthday month I tend to become this festive ball of joy during this time. Incorporating more reds, patterns and sparkles. I think all the beautiful windows on 5th ave and hundreds of Christmas lights around the city simply inspire me during this wonderful time of year. 

The pops of color I chose today were my lipstick (ruby woo by Mac), my shoes (Red Pigalle by Christian Louboutin), my clutch (Express) and my scarf (NY street vendor / find similar here and here). Ever since I found these boohoo pants I cannot take them off. These are so fun and unique and only $35! Espero que todos hayan tenido un maravilloso Día de Acción de Gracias!
Realmente tomé un pequeño descanso después de bastante tiempo. Se sintió muy agradable y refrescante pasar el tiempo muy necesario con la familia, hacer un poco de compras y actualizar mi teléfono a un iPhone 7. Sorprendentemente, fue un descanso muy productivo por decir lo menos. Sin embargo, debo admitir que extrañaba ami familia de medios sociales también. ¡Se siente bien estar de vuelta!

Cada año durante este tiempo me encanta cambiar mi estilo (sólo un poco). Como en diciembre es mi aniversario de boda y mes de cumpleaños siempre me pongo bien alegre durante este tiempo. Incorporando más rojos, patrones y brillos. Creo que todas las hermosas ventanas de la 5ª avenida y cientos de luces de Navidad alrededor de la ciudad simplemente me inspiran durante esta maravillosa época del año.

If you asked me 'What's the one thing in your closet you cannot live without?' I would say a little black dress. & to be honest I have lost count of how many I own. This is the one piece of clothing I can't seem to get tired of wearing. Specially if its anything like this Pure Jill Luxe Tencel dress by J.Jill.

I love this dress so much that I bought a few for my family for Christmas. Aside from it being super comfortable due to the Tencel-blend fabric, soft and lightweight I love the flowyness and how versatile it can be. You can wear it with printed leggings for some fun action, leather leggings for a chic look or add a nice belt to create a different shape. I, like it as is.

Me encanta este vestido tanto que le compré unos para mi familia para Navidad. Aparte de ser super cómodo debido a la tela de mezcla Tencel, suave y ligero me encanta la fluidez y lo versátil que puede ser.
