A few weeks ago my family and I had the chance of watching the very anticipated movie, Mr. Peabody and Sherman. The story of a genius dog who adopts a boy, yes a dog who adopts a boy! I had the honor of speaking/interviewing Ty Burrell who is the voice of Mr. Peabody, Max charles who is the voice of Sherman, and Rob Minkoff who directed this movie as well as The Lion King. In today's article I will share a brief part of our interviews. I will also be sharing a few images and a great giveaway for your chance to take your family to view this movie when it's released. The film will be in theaters March 7th, 2014.
Rob Minkoff who is a new father himself, has always had a strong father son relationship given the fact that he directed both, The Lion King and Mr. Peabody & Sherman. These are both fantastic films which are both based on the roles of fatherhood. We asked Rob about his love for these roles and he simply said he draws it from personal experiences. Everyone was also very curious about knowing how does Max Charles find time to work as an actor and still manage to be a ten year old boy. Max said, he only works five days out of the week. Taking breaks on set to work on his schooling. So, he has a couple of days off for playtime. He also sent out an advice for other kids who want to follow his footsteps. Max; "Follow your dreams and do what you want to do".
This movie is definitely one of my favorite animated movies because it really sends out a strong loving message that kids as well as adults can relate to.
If there's a takeaway in this movie it's that "love makes every relationship stronger".

If you had a WABAC (time) machine where would you travel to and why?
I would travel to Spain when my father was born to learn about his side of the family and see my Grandparents. I never had the chance to meet them.
ReplyDeleteI would travel to when Jesus was born and his story life. Might sound cheesy but I think it would be outstanding seeing his story and living it by his side.

I would travel back to the 1950's California and I would be a teenager hanging out on the beach with surfers, listening to music about love, hotrodding and summertime. I was born in the wrong generation!
