It's Friday! | My Life Update

Happy Friday and Happy Halloween!!

I know I've been missing these past two days and here's the reason why. Ever since I became a pescetarian I have been so weak! I didn't properly plan a diet (which was a huge mistake!). It's been two weeks and my body just started getting used to not having meat. This drastic change is a part of my new and better-self for 2015. My dad was a vegetarian for 7 years and he says; "those were the best times of my life". I didn't want to wait till December/January to make this a 'New Year's Resolution'. You truly have to be a dedicated person to make things go right in your life and you must act now. There's nothing more disappointing than a procrastinator and I refuse to be one. I truly feel this is just a small change I want for myself in growing as a healthier human being. My previous goal was to weight 115 and workout at least 4 days a week to get toned and build muscle. Thankfully, that goal was achieved!! I now weight 114 and workout at least 6 days a week. It almost becomes an obsession after your body gets used it. The eating part has always been my downfall because I love food more than the average person. I'm not going to lie- It feels horrible cooking meat for my family and not being able to eat it, some say it's torture, I say it's discipline. 

I just wanted to give you a little bit of an update on my life. New posts coming soon;)

Feliz viernes y ¡Feliz Halloween !! 

Sé que he estado perdienda estos últimos dos días, y aquí está la razón por qué. Desde que me convertí en una vegetariana he estado tan débil! No planeé adecuadamente una dieta (que fue un gran error!). Ya han pasado dos semanas y yo sólo estoy empezando a acostumbrarme. El punto de este cambio drástico es una parte de mi nueva y mejor persona para el 2015. Yo no quería esperar hasta Diciembre/Enero para hacer de este una 'Resolución de Año Nuevo'. Usted realmente tiene que ser una persona dedicada para que las cosas vallan bien en su vida y usted debe actuar ahora. No hay nada más decepcionante que una persona indecisa y yo me niego a ser una de esas. 

Mi papá fue un vegetariano por 7 años y él dice; "esos fueron los mejores momentos de mi vida". Yo realmente siento que esto es sólo un pequeño cambio que quiero para mí en el crecimiento como un humano saludable. 

Se siente horrible cocinar carne para mi familia y no poder comerla. Algunos dicen que es tortura, yo digo que es disciplina. 

Sólo quería darles un poco de actualización de mi vida. Nuevas entradas vienen pronto al blog;)

Crest 3D White | Whitening Challenge Review

As you may have already know from this post, I decided to take the two week "Crest 3D Whitening Challenge" using Crest 3D White Whitestrips Luxe Supreme FlexFit. I was very skeptical about this because I didn't think there would be much of a difference at the end of the challenge, but... I was proven wrong!

This is how it works; each strip comes in individual packages and all you need to do is open a package, peel off the strip and apply it on to your teeth for one hour. Repeat this everyday. The first day I applied it was weird because I would constantly spit and was afraid to speak because I though the strips would come off. However the strips grip to your teeth and do not come off easily. During the challenge I was also brushing my teeth with Crest 3D White Luxe Glamorous White Toothpaste. The challenge I took was only two weeks but if you want major results you can use the strips for up to one year. 

My teeth are soo white.. all I want to do is smile, like.. All-The-Time! Growing up I was always self conscious about a few gaps here-and-there. Therefore, I would never smile showing my teeth. For the first time in my life I can say my teeth are extremely white and I couldn't be happier with the results of this challenge. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to whiten their teeth and doesn't want to spend a lot of money.

It's The Climb

I visited this magical place last weekend when I was in need of inspiration and fresh air.  
This is certainly a place you come either to hike with the family or simply relax and clear your thoughts. I will focus this post on what I'm wearing and will post more details about the place in an upcoming post. 

It turned out to be a little cold this day and I only noticed that when I went up the mountain. I was so glad I brought my Adea turtleneck and my Dawn Levy coat. & I know you guys don't think I walked up with heels-on right? I brought my Ja-Vie flats for the climb. I'm also reworking this Daisy Fuentes skirt available at Kohl's (buy here). You can view my last post wearing it here. 

This top should be an essential piece in everyone's closet for the reason that it is skin-tight which makes it feel like you're wearing nothing. The material is super soft and comfortable which makes it impossible not to wear it everyday. I'm so hooked on this 'everyday luxury' brand.

Visité este lugar mágico el fin de semana pasado cuando estaba en la necesidad de inspiración y aire fresco. Este es sin duda un lugar al que vas, ya sea para ir de excursión con la familia o simplemente relajarse y despejar sus pensamientos. Me voy a enfocar en lo que tengo puesto y publicare más detalles sobre el lugar en una próxima entrada.

Resultó estar un poco frío este día y sólo me di cuenta de esto cuando suvi a la montaña. Yo estaba tan contenta de haber traído mi camisa de cuello alto por Adea y mi abrigo de Dawn Levy. 
Esta camisa debe ser una pieza esencial en el armario de todo el mundo por la razón de que el material es super suave y confortable al igual que es muy versátil. 

Skin Cancer Foundation Gala | Event Recap

As many of you know, I was honored to attend The Skin Cancer Foundation Gala as an on-site correspondent for Olay. If you follow me on twitter you might have felt like you were at the gala itself from all my live tweets. The event was such an unforgettable experience and I am so happy I get to share every detail with you guys. From walking the red carpet to sharing an incredible room with the most influential dermatologists and celebrities in the business. It's awesome seeing how everyone came together to raise awareness and support a great cause. At the event, Olay was honored for their efforts around skin cancer prevention.

I was privileged to be at such a prestigious event beside Lela Coffey (Brand Director, North America Olay), Hillary Fogelson (Skin cancer survivor and sun protection activist), Karen Kovacs (publisher for People Magazine) Audrey McClelland (Mom Generations) and Dr. Robins (Founder/President of the Skin Cancer Foundation). 

The event was held at the Mandarin Oriental hotel hosted by Taye Diggs. A few of the performers included the legendary singer-songwritter Sting, Award winning Violinist, Joshua Bell and amazing pianist, Alessio Bax. The cocktail of the evening was the Olay Glow-jito (how awesome is that name!) and dinner was delicious as expected. We had the choice of mushroom risotto or steak, I went with the risotto since I'm practicing towards becoming a vegetarian:) For those asking, I wore a beautiful peachy-pink dress by Virgos Lounge and Miriam Salat accessories. Many women have not been thoroughly educated on the importance of applying SPF every day, let alone how easy it is to work into their existing beauty regimen. The 2014 Skin Cancer Foundation Gala With Olay

I'm incredibly honored to be partnering with Olay and attend the 2014 Skin Cancer Foundation Gala tomorrow as an on-site corespondent. Olay is being honored at the 2014 Skin Cancer Foundation Gala for Olay’s efforts around skin cancer prevention.
