Who remembers when Hazel had short hair!? I miss it so much and have been trying to convince her to cut it short again but she refuses to. While going through my photo library I found these photos of her when we visited Morey's Piers a few years ago. How things have changed since then. She now has much longer hair, has lost a few teeth in the process and is contemplating on getting a new pet... and speaking of pets; Morey's Piers is having a super cool pet friendly event. Bark by popular demand, Morey’s Piers goes completely to the dogs on Saturday, September 8 with a full line-up of fido-friendly events. Pups, mutts and purebreds of all shapes and sizes are invited to celebrate the dog days of summer.
The Doggie Dash kicks-off the tail-wagging events at 10:00am on September 8 when pooches set the pace for the 5K and 1 mile races on the beach adjacent to Raging Waters Water Park. The day continues with a splash for the fifth annual puppy pool party at Raging Waters “Water Bark.” From 12:00pm to 5:00pm Morey’s Piers will host nine different one-hour long sessions that are staggered throughout the day to accommodate admission for more dogs.
Pricing for the Doggie Dash and Doggie Splash: Doggie Splash tickets are $25 for a dog plus an owner and are valid for one hour of splash time in Raging Waters Water Park. Each dog must have a designated handler for admission; Dog + runner Dash & Splash combo passes are $45; dog + runner race entry is $35; human only race entry is $25; human only Dash & Splash combo passes are $35; spectator splash tickets are $10.
