Where to go this weekend -Lucky Strike

-This was not a sponsored post. I simply loved the experience and wanted to share it-

TGIF again! Today's post is perfect for those who are looking to have a little fun this weekend. I'm always searching for fun places to go in New York City with my friends and family. While searching for 'fun places in nyc ' in google, I came across Lucky Strike. Friday the 13th was my husband's birthday and we wanted to do something fun but at the same time a little intimate. We spoke to a clerk on the phone during the week and told her our plans. She suggested that we came early (7pm) to get that intimate feel before the place gets jammed packed since it was a Friday night. The trendy play room for grownups has countless activities like billiards, ping pong, bowling and much much more.

Basic Monday

It's finally Fall! The time to pull out those oversized sweaters and warm boots. I have gotten many emails requesting me to show you a little more toned down outfit posts for those busy days. I was thrilled about my readers wanting a laid back look aka a lazy outfit. I thought the tittle 'Basic Monday' would go perfect with this look because it's the first day after the weekend and most of us either go back to work or to school. Therefore this can serve as great inspiration to those looking for an easy, simple yet trendy look.

Little Red Riding Hood

As we step foot into Fall the need for layering becomes obvious. My girls love wearing dresses and I simply fell in love with the idea of this dress-like jacket from Lemon Loves Lime. The addition of colorful accessories and girly tights complete this simple outfit.

top: Tibi  |  earrings: c/o C Wonder  |  necklace: c/o Gorjana and Griffon  |  pants: Theory  |  bag: c/o Botkier  |  watch: Michael Kors  |  shoes: Zara

Black and white is my all-time favorite trend. For this outfit I wanted to do something simple yet sophisticated. Great for brunch or for work (with the blazer of course). Theory is one of the trendiest brands out because it's made for the modern women. Staying comfy with loose fitted pants that still look trendy, hip and cool is what I'm all about. I think simple is always best. What do you think of this outfit?

Family Shoot with Pink PineApple Pictures

I have finally decided to reveal some of the pictures from a few weeks ago shot by Pink Pineapple Pictures. Believe it or not, my family and I have never had an official family photo shoot. After moving into our new home, I wanted to get a little more organized and have an actual family album rather than having all of my children's photos uploaded onto a computer and nothing in print. After reviewing many photographers portfolios I fell in love with two lovely girls, Judith and Melody creators of Pink Pineapple Pictures

OOTD Video with PARQOR

dress: BCBG  shoes: c/o Kandee  |  hat: Charter Club |  clutch: Zara

Last week I teamed up with PARQOR during NYFW to bring you a more informative way of sharing outfits. We shot this video right before heading to the Nanette Lepore show last wednesday. I tried to give you as much information as possible, given the fact that it had to be no longer than 15 seconds. In the video I briefly describe my outfit and highlight the main points. Do you like it? Would you like to see more outfit videos?

In Red

Boy, am I glad the madness is over! You guys cannot imagine how my feet are looking right about now! Those blister bandages that Ebay gave out in the tents did come in handy. I have been nonstop walking in 4"+ inch heels more than 8 hours a day. Running from show to show, getting interviewed and filming outfit videos didn't really give me enough time to shoot in the daylight. I hope you can see the details from this handmade clutch curtesy of Indego Africa, an amazing organization that empowers independent businesswomen [read more here]. For day 3 of New York Fashion Week I wore this bright red suit and these Strawberry Split heels curtesy of Kandee Shoes
I could not help taking a picture of this amazing city.
Happy birthday Mr. Right!

Glasses USA

Today I will be reviewing a pair of sunglasses I received from a couple of weeks ago.
I ordered my glasses on August 6th and received them August 23rd. The wait was a bit longer than expected. Fortunately they kept me updated every step of the way. I received an email after placing my order Thanking me for my purchase and stating that my glasses were on their way to the lab. This was something I didn't quite understand since I ordered sunglasses with regular lenses and without any rx. Six days later I received another email telling me that the glasses were being sent for a 5-stripe quality assurance test. On August 19th they sent me a final email telling me that my order was finally sent and should receive my glasses within 2-3 days. At first glance they seemed like any ordinary trendy looking sunglasses, till I tried them on. Oh, if I can only have this comfort with all my other sunnies. I have ran, danced and jumped (just for testing) and they remained in place. Impressive.

We all know how bad it can be to buy glasses and feel unsatisfied. Luckily for us, GlassesUSA added a new feature where you can try on the eyeglasses before buying them, it's called the Virtual Mirror. Is't that fantastic! You will get 110% lowest price guarantee and a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Zimmermann Spring 2014

IMG_3394 IMG_3428 IMG_3434

Due to a little cold I sat out the first day of Fashion Week. I was happy to get better just in time to attend the Zimmermann show. Sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann have been causing quite a buzz here in New York City lately, and you can see why. The Sydney babes know how to put on a show and, lord, did they deliver!

The name of the collection is The Ringmaster I love how Zimmermann stuck to it's roots with the flawless chiffon dresses, floral prints and magical swimsuits with a little edginess. The underwire bra and high waisted bottoms gave me a 50's feel, and sure caught my attention. Then there was this black stripy-mesh swimsuit that-is the definition of glory (as you can see from the lady's face). It's almost like Nicky and Simone know what you want and need (Ok, I might be talking about myself) but, isn't this collection beyond your dreams?

Zimmermann will be opening up a store in Mercer Street this month (only two stores down from their current location).

My first Jersey dress! After working my tush off at barry's bootcamp, getting my cardio on, running miles and miles every night, and no, not sacrifing my bad eating habits. I can finally wear this rocking dress curtesy of Baukjen. I usually get in the best shape of my life every year during New York's Fashion Week. Most of the time loosing the weight isn't intentional. This week (every year) I am 99.9% of the times on my computer/phone or in shows, this doesn't allow me to eat [peacefully] but this year I decided to do it differently, and I'm glad I did. A good workout always makes one proud.

I can't stress how much I love this dress. Might just make it on to my top 3 favorite things to wear. I never really knew how perfect a Jersey dress can fit [well, this one]. This dress hugs you in the right places. Makes you feel incredible. And I honestly think 'every women should own it'. Baukjen: "Jersey dresses are awesome, especially when you find the perfect one". Need I say more?
I wanted to do a little bit of mixing prints without overshadowing the dress. I added this thin Lucky Brand belt and faux snake skin shoes. Although at first glance they look very similar, they're not.  However if you take a closer look you will see how flawless this pairing is.

Natural is always best. As I mentioned on my previous post, I have been letting my hair and face rest [till today]. Wash hair and let air dry. Liner. Lashless. Bronzer. Finito.

On The Edge

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
Prepping for NYFW is always chaos. Specially now that my daughter is starting school and I want to give her my full time and support. If you guys are wondering about my messy hair, these are my natural waves. Once in a while I like to go all na-tu-ral haha.
