Romper Love

As life continues, we as individuals need to set a new beginning every few years to make life more fun.

In my fresh start my dreams are bigger than before. I am seeing life in a way I never did and I know what I want in life, so ya'll better watch out:)
Heres what I wore to meet up with some new friends.

Romper & gold necklace: Armani Exchange

I love stacking necklaces, so when I heard about the #neckpartydare I was stoked!
At first glance they don't seem to work but once stacked they really do. If you decide to have a neck party make sure to hashtag #neckpartydare or if you'd like me to see your take on it hashtag #nytrendymoms on twitter or instagram.

Shoes:Steve Madden

I love adding an unexpected pop of color to dull outfits. This is why I wanted to go with these super hot pumps from Steve Madden. Believe it or not they are super easy and comfortable to walk in despite the very high heel. What do you think of the purple and red combo?

Bow bracelet:C/o mydarlingava   Gold cuff:AX   Necklace:F21

This adorable bow bracelet was sent to me by mydarlingava. I've been trying to work with her for a while since I love all her pieces. Her etsy shop has many awesome arm candy that you all will love. Make sure to check it out and follow her on Instagram @mydarlingava

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you all have a fab Thursdays!

My Cards Are In!

As Fashion's Night Out and Fashion Week approaches, it is crucial for bloggers to have business cards. If you haven't ordered them, do so. I got mine from Uprinting.com. I ordered 250 cards in slim size with a gloss finish. I am really happy with the way they came out. Their service is great and very easy to use. I truly advice all bloggers or anyone who offers a service to have these.

I know I haven't posted an ootd in a while but September is a very busy month for me. I will try my best to keep you all posted on what's going on in my life.
Happy Friday Trenders!

Fall Trend

Happy Saturday Trenders!
Who doesn't like tips on how to get ready for next season (Autumn)?
I know I do!

The amazing British makeup artist Lisa Eldridge was featured on Septembers issue of Elle magazine and of course I had to share with you all her tips and Fall makeup trends.
Whether gothic (Viktor & Rolf, Rochas), red hot (Thakoon, Marc by Marc Jacobs), or sweetly sheer (Jenny Packham, Michael Kors), this fall is all about the loud lips. "People shouldn't be put off by dark shades." Eldridge says. "Rich berries, intense wine colors, and even deep violets do actually go well with all different skin tones." No matter which way you want to wear them, Eldridge's step-by-step video (an ELLE.com exclusive) has what you need to get the look right. To view the video click here

I started watching Lisa Eldridge on YouTube years ago. She's worked with the best of the A-list, including Kate Moss, Emma Watson, Kate Winslet and Claire Danes. Her videos are extremely helpful and couldn't get more perfect.

My tips & picks
Don't be afraid to try 4, 7 or 12 different shades of dark. Find one that you love & don't go with the first one you find. My favorite lipsticks are Noir, Cyber and Smoked Purple by M.A.C.

This was just a little scoop of whats going to be in for Fall.

Classic Burger & Fries

Who doesn't love burgers and fries!
YUMZAAR!

When I got married, my husband had only one request from me, and that was to learn how to perfect a juicy burger. This has been his favorite food all his life! Talk about appetite ha.
I tend to make this twice a month due to it being a real fatty meal.
Through the years I've learned to perfect this dish & I'm ready to share my secrets with you:)

Things you will need for the fries
cooking time 1 hour
makes 3 servings

3 large russet potatoes
(I like to leave the skin on but you can remove it if you like)
2 quarts canola oil

Sprinkle mixture
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1. Cut the potatoes into 1/3-inch slices and then slice into 1/3-inch sticks.

2. Fill a bowl with water and soak potatoes, submerged, for at least 30 minutes. This will help remove the excess starch from the potatoes and keep them from oxidizing.

3. Heat a heavy pot with canola oil to 325 degrees F.

4. Remove potatoes from water, and pat dry to remove excess water.

5. Add 2 handsfuls of potatoes to oil. There should be at least 1-inch of oil above the potatoes. Par cook until potatoes are light brown, 5 to 7 minutes.

6. Remove potatoes, gently shaking off any excess oil and let drain on rack or paper towel. repeat until all the potatoes are par cooked.

7. Raise heat of oil to 350 degrees F.

8. Cook potatoes again, 2 handfuls at a time, until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Remove from oil, shake off excess oil, and season lightly with salt and pepper mixture.

Now on to the burger!

Things you will need

1 pound ground chuck (80 percent lean)
1 1/2 tablespoon canola oil
Desired cheese
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
salt & pepper

1. Divide the meat into 4 equal portions (about 6 ounces each)
from each portion loosely into 3/4-inch thick burger and make a deep depression into the center with your thumb. Season both sides of each burger with salt and pepper. Cook the burgers in the oil on medium high heat for 4 minutes until achieving a delicious crust on each side.

1 minute before removing the burgers from the skillet, add the cheese. Cover until the cheese is melted about 1 minute. Remove from the heat and let rest for 1 minute.

Hope you enjoyed this recipe! If you decide to try any of my recipes please hash tag me on instagram or twitter #nytrendymoms. Thanks for stopping Trenders:)

Knitted Vintage

Good Monday Trenders!!!
I recently started doing freelance photography and was invited to attend an online store opening by one of my favorite people Naty Michele . Before heading to the gig we took some snaps of each other.  Here's what I wore.

I've always been a vintage lover! I feel like every vintage piece has a story and is unique in every way.
I bought this knitted crop top a few months ago and this was the first time I wore it. Since it's a bit see through I wore a longer top underneath. What drew me to this top was the amazing details and the fact that you can wear any color underneath and it will look bomb.com!
It can also be worn as a swim top cover up.

Pastel top & pants:Marshalls
Lips:Up the amp by MAC  Nails:A splash of grenadine by ESSIE

I bought this pastel top from Marshalls last year. It's perfect for summer since the material is really light and airy. So wearing two tops isn't that overwhelming in this heat.
I'm the type of person who loves paying attention to small details and on this look I did just that.
It's really easy to get lost in all black. By adding a hint of matching colors to my nails and lips make the look just right.

Purple bracelet:Tory Burch

Earrings:Vintage
Bangles:Forever21
Shoes:Steve Madden

A simple outfit always needs statement shoes! So these are mine:)
They were a gift from my husband a few months ago. I love his taste! What do you guys think?

Naty and I were discussing a possible bloggers meet and greet event in NYC. If you are interested please email me at Johnnybell@nytrendymoms.com

Fun Young and Hip

Good Monday Trenders! I hope everyone had an awesome weekend.
Today's look was inspired by 2 of my favorite bloggers Melanee & Bonnie
I've always loved the combination of red and yellow as you can see in my Marygold post.
Enjoy babes!

Necklace:Vintage
Jeans:Aeropostale
Top:Tj Maxx
The material on this flowy top is so fresh and perfect for hot summer days. Since I'm not a mini dress kind off girl in summer I prefer to invest on these cute tops that can be styled different every time.

Earrings:F21
Shoes:Steve Madden   Bag:Tory Burch

I love how this hat brings the look together. It makes it fun, young and hip.

Watch:Michael Kors   Hat:Macys   Lips:Rubywoo by MAC

To me this look screams out summer! What do you think?
