Brown on Brown

The excitement of tonights meet and greet has not let me sleep for days. This is the first event i'll be hosting with the lovely Naty Michele. I can't wait to meet you all!

OK.. now for todays ootd.
Since the weather seems to be getting better and better I've been wearing a lot of fall appropriate items, like these pleather pants I got a few months ago at H&M for only $5!

Earrings: Tory Burch

I always wanted a collar necklace, instead I found this gorgeous blouse from Blu Pepper with collar details. The best part about long sleeves is that they can be folded to style differently. Isn't it cute?

Top: Blu Pepper
Shoes: Steve Madden

I've been searching for a vintage chanel bag for years. I finally found one in the most unexpected place, a vintage furniture store in Astoria, Queens. I usually shop there for vintage jewelry(they tend to have a very small selection) and had told the owner if he ever came across any chanel bags to call me, and he did. I couldn't hold my excitement so I posted an Instagram picture and you guys loved it. I know there are countless shops around NYC who carry many vintage chanel bags but they tend to be really pricy. I must say I hit the jackpot with this one.

My Tip
in finding unique vintage pieces is to let the owner or employee of the shop know what you're looking for. Leave a contact number for them to reach you in once they have what you want. When you least expect it you'll get a call. Also try to visit as many shops as possible since every store has different prices. My take in finding vintage shops is google:)

& my signature pose:) Have an awesome saturday trenders.

Entering Fall (kids)

Happy Friday Trenders!
"Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher" Oprah Winfrey
My kids and family are those who put a smile on my face daily.  I am the luckiest person in the world to have such amazing friends and supporting followers.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend and don't forget to be grateful for what you have and appreciate the little things that make you smile.
Top & Hat: Baby Gap

I felt like I hadn't featured my little monkeys on my blog lately and I know you all missed them:)
Today is a beautiful day so I decided to take them out for a walk and shoot. My kids aren't camera shy at all, once they see me pull out my dslr they start posing.

  Sandals: LANDS'END   Earrings: F21
This dress was given to Zareena by her aunty Sharmin and uncle Rairai. I thought the dress was cute but a bit plain so I decided to add a belt that I got at Marshalls. I loved the two different patterns together. It really makes the dress standout.

Blazer & Leather

Happy Monday Trenders!
I get a lot of emails asking me how I have the energy and strength to look sharp + still deal with mom and wife duties. My answer is simple, find time for yourself. As a mother you really need to find time for yourself, even if it means an hour at the nail salon. This makes all the difference in the world! You get a chance to relax and forget about the world for a short amount of time, trust me, you'll feel reenergized and brand new. If you can't get any 'you time', while the kids nap enjoy a pint of mango ice cream, that always helps me relax.
Yesterday I learned that 'stressed' spelled backwards means 'desserts'! Theres the answer to all your problems:)

Last week I went shopping for something to wear to the bloggers meet and greet. & found a few awesome items! The weather has been lovely lately so I decided to get these super hot J brand leather pants that I've been eyeing for weeks. I love everything from the color to the skinny fit.

J Brand is the only brand of pants that seem to fit perfectly every time. & for that I salute you Jeff Rudes!

Blazer: OVI   Pants: J Brand

This OVI blazer is the most comfortable blazer I own. It's light and perfect for this new season. Although I love blazers I don't own many. I'm really picky when it comes to the fit and collar shape. This one is just perfect. I paired it with this cool H&M top I bought a few months ago.
I recently visited their 5th avenue location since that store usually carries all the nice pieces, what a surprise I got:( I was really disappointed to see H&M's new collections, I literally couldn't pick out a single item that I liked. They need to go back on their A game.. just saying.

H&M: Top

These pointed court shoes with strap are from ZARA's new collection. I only own 2 pairs of ZARA heels only because I don't find their shoes very comfortable. These are ok. I wore them for Fashion's Night Out and was in horrible pain due to all the walking. I noticed that when it comes to ZARA heels, you need to brake them in before they start to actually feel comfortable. They're getting there.

  Watch: Breitling   Ring:F21
(Please excuse my sausage fingers)

Bracelet: Tory Burch   Silver Cuff: Armani Exchange

The bloggers meet and greet was cancelled due to a tornado watch in the New York and New Jersey area on saturday. This event will be rescheduled so stay on the lookout.

Got a single perfect shot of my daughter and husband.

Fashion's Night Out

I enjoyed every second of last night. This was my first fashion's night out but
definitely not my last. I visited a few stores and had the pleasure to meet a few of my favorite all time bloggers. First stop was the UGG store in Soho.
They had the cutest mini cupcakes, hors d'oeuvre and great music.

Here with Naty

In Joe's Jeans I met Aimee Song from Songofstyle. She's the cutest thing! During small talk she confessed of hearing about nytrendymoms before:) She also loved my top. That completely made my night!

What I wore
I didn't really know what to expect since this was my first FNO. I wanted to look cute and sophisticated. I wore this peplum top and shoes I got from ZARA recently. & for some color I went with this BCBG skirt that I got two years ago. Accessories were minimal, only wore my Michael Kors rose gold watch and studded earring.

Another highlight of my night was meeting the gorgeous Nicole Warne from garypeppervintage. She got to share a few words of wisdom with me although I was too focused on her adorable australian accent.

If anyone knows the name of this band please let me know. They rocked!
Overall my night was beyond fantastic! Ended it with friends and family at a local restaurant.
How was your fashion's night out?

Meet and greet is this saturday! Email me for more info Johnnybell@nytrendymoms.com

Romper Love

As life continues, we as individuals need to set a new beginning every few years to make life more fun.

In my fresh start my dreams are bigger than before. I am seeing life in a way I never did and I know what I want in life, so ya'll better watch out:)
Heres what I wore to meet up with some new friends.

Romper & gold necklace: Armani Exchange

I love stacking necklaces, so when I heard about the #neckpartydare I was stoked!
At first glance they don't seem to work but once stacked they really do. If you decide to have a neck party make sure to hashtag #neckpartydare or if you'd like me to see your take on it hashtag #nytrendymoms on twitter or instagram.

Shoes:Steve Madden

I love adding an unexpected pop of color to dull outfits. This is why I wanted to go with these super hot pumps from Steve Madden. Believe it or not they are super easy and comfortable to walk in despite the very high heel. What do you think of the purple and red combo?

Bow bracelet:C/o mydarlingava   Gold cuff:AX   Necklace:F21

This adorable bow bracelet was sent to me by mydarlingava. I've been trying to work with her for a while since I love all her pieces. Her etsy shop has many awesome arm candy that you all will love. Make sure to check it out and follow her on Instagram @mydarlingava

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you all have a fab Thursdays!

My Cards Are In!

As Fashion's Night Out and Fashion Week approaches, it is crucial for bloggers to have business cards. If you haven't ordered them, do so. I got mine from Uprinting.com. I ordered 250 cards in slim size with a gloss finish. I am really happy with the way they came out. Their service is great and very easy to use. I truly advice all bloggers or anyone who offers a service to have these.

I know I haven't posted an ootd in a while but September is a very busy month for me. I will try my best to keep you all posted on what's going on in my life.
Happy Friday Trenders!

Fall Trend

Happy Saturday Trenders!
Who doesn't like tips on how to get ready for next season (Autumn)?
I know I do!

The amazing British makeup artist Lisa Eldridge was featured on Septembers issue of Elle magazine and of course I had to share with you all her tips and Fall makeup trends.
Whether gothic (Viktor & Rolf, Rochas), red hot (Thakoon, Marc by Marc Jacobs), or sweetly sheer (Jenny Packham, Michael Kors), this fall is all about the loud lips. "People shouldn't be put off by dark shades." Eldridge says. "Rich berries, intense wine colors, and even deep violets do actually go well with all different skin tones." No matter which way you want to wear them, Eldridge's step-by-step video (an ELLE.com exclusive) has what you need to get the look right. To view the video click here

I started watching Lisa Eldridge on YouTube years ago. She's worked with the best of the A-list, including Kate Moss, Emma Watson, Kate Winslet and Claire Danes. Her videos are extremely helpful and couldn't get more perfect.

My tips & picks
Don't be afraid to try 4, 7 or 12 different shades of dark. Find one that you love & don't go with the first one you find. My favorite lipsticks are Noir, Cyber and Smoked Purple by M.A.C.

This was just a little scoop of whats going to be in for Fall.
