I can't think of a better Spring essential than a denim jacket. They are perfect for layering casual or sporty chic looks. One thing that stood out for me was the soft stretchy material. I received a size small but since it's stretchy I would've loved an x-small for a tighter fit. So keep that in mind when ordering.

There's no denying that Spring is near for us New Yorkers. Some of us aren't even waiting for the warmer weather to start buying Spring pieces and I don't blame you. We've seen off-the-shoulder stick around for awhile and thankfully it's not going anywhere just yet. Spring is the perfect time to stack on those off-the-shoulder pieces, tops and dresses. The piece I'm wearing today is by Tularosa. I wish I would've done a different pose so you could see the beautiful design on the sides of the dress. I shot this look minutes before swimming with the dolphins in the Bahamas last month and wanted to get a few shots before changing into my bathing suit. If you click on the link of the dress you'll be able to see more angles. Nonetheless, this dress turnout to be a great piece for 70-80 degree weather. It has a nice feminine touch with the side floral prints and the white stitching around the lower part of the dress.

The best part is that you can dress it up with heels or down with sanders/sneakers. Accessorize till your heart's content. & enjoy the breeze on your shoulders and all around (inserts emoji with a wink).

You cannot go to a tropical island and not wear Ipanema sandals. This black pair are just one of the 10 I own (not kidding). They are minimal and sooo comfortable!

No se puede negar que la primavera está cerca para los Neoyorquinos. Algunos de nosotros ni siquiera estamos esperando el clima más cálido para empezar a comprar piezas de primavera y no las culpo. Hemos visto fuera la tendencia del hombro a fuera y, afortunadamente, no se va a ninguna parte todavía. Primavera es el momento perfecto para usar esas piezas fuera del hombro. La pieza que llevo hoy es de Tularosa. Ojalá hubiera hecho una pose diferente para que pudieran ver el hermoso diseño en los lados del vestido. Me tire estas fotos minutos antes de nadar con los delfines en las Bahamas el mes pasado y quería tomarme unas cuantas fotos rapiditas antes de cambiar a mi traje de baño. Este vestido tiene un toque femenino agradable con las impresiones florales laterales y la costura blanca alrededor de la parte inferior del vestido.

La mejor parte es que se puede vestir con tacones o con zapatillas. Accesorios hasta el contenido de su corazón. Y disfrutar de la brisa en los hombros y todo alrededor (guiño).

No se puede ir a una isla tropical y no usar sandalias de Ipanema. Este par negras son sólo una de las 10 que tengo (no bromeo). Son mínimas y tan cómodas!

Spring Is Near

Casual outfits have been 'low key' my favorites lately. & yes, these Shelly's London wedges are considered casual to me. The wedge makes it super easy to walk around without stumbling. One of my favorite ways to wear wedges is with denim and we all know there aren't better denim than classic Levi's. I folded up my light wash pair to allow the lace from the shoes to show. This gives the look a much personal feel.

Did you know this blue poncho looking piece from J.Jill is actually called a 'ruana'? I just discovered the difference and I'm fascinated. The difference between a poncho and a ruana is that a poncho is one piece with a whole to put your head in. The ruana has a slit in the middle and you're able to see what you're wearing underneath.

I wanted to keep the look clean and fresh so I went with a white shirt from J.Jill. I lost count of the many times I've worn this shirt. It's definitely a favorite.

The brown allows the blue from the ruana and denim to pop*. I added a beautiful Deux Lux bag to the outfit to compliment the wedges. Keep reading to see more photos.

Los looks casuales han sido mis favoritos últimamente. Y sí, estos zapatos de Shelly's London son considerados casuales para mí. Una de mis maneras favoritas de usar estos zapatos son con pantalones y todos sabemos que no hay mezclilla mejor que Levi's. Enrolle los pantalones hacia arriba para permitir que el cordón de los zapatos se mostraran. Esto le da un toque personal al look.

¿Sabías que esta pieza que parece un poncho se llama realmente una 'ruana'? Acabo de descubrir la diferencia y estoy fascinada. La diferencia entre un poncho y una ruana es que un poncho es una pieza con hueco para poner la cabeza. La ruana tiene un abierto en el centro y usted puede ver lo que está usando debajo.

Quería mantener el aspecto limpio y fresco así que fui con una camisa blanca de J.Jill. Perdí la cuenta de todas las veces que he llevado esta camisa. Definitivamente es una de mis favoritas.

Now that New York Fashion Week is over I can finally share what I wore to the Laurence & Chico presentation. I'm wearing two pieces from ASOS which are not yet available as it will be released in Spring 17'. This pale tinted purple color otherwise known as lavender will be everywhere this Spring.  So get ready. You heard it here first.

On the last photo you'll see my unique choker. I needed to wear a necklace with this look and couldn't find one to match the edgy look. Therefore, I created one out of safety pins. I loved the way it turned out. What do you think? Tweet me @NYTrendyMoms

Ahora que la Semana de la Moda en Nueva York ha terminado, finalmente puedo compartir lo que llevaba en la presentación de Laurence & Chico. Estoy usando dos piezas de ASOS que aún no están disponibles, ya que serán lanzadas en la primavera 2017. Este color púrpura también conocido como lavanda estará por todas partes esta primavera. As I mentioned on my snapchat; I'm completely in love with Cat & Jack's collection at Target.
Before leaving on our Miami trip I stopped by my local store and did major damage. I couldn't find anything I did not like. So, naturally I bought most of it. In todays post you'll find three pieces; the shirt, skirt and purse. The pieces are very versatile, girly and most importantly comfortable.
