Gold Plated Heels

Hey Trendsters!! Happy Earth Day!

Today I'm going to show you how I wear these Shoedazzle gold plated heels during the day. 

I know how these platform shoes can be a thing of the night but I like how this day look turned out. 

A few things to always keep in mind is 'simplicity is key'. Stay on the safe side. Denim on denim always works. Keep the accessories minimal. Skip the patterns unless it's underneath a jacket/blazer. 

It's always nice to add a pop of color on the nails or lips.. or both.

Hoy les voy a mostrar cómo me pongo estos tacones de Shoedazzle durante el día.

Sé cómo estos zapatos de plataforma negro con oro puede ser una cosa de la noche, pero me gusta cómo este look de día resultó.

Un par de cosas a tener siempre en cuenta es "la simplicidad es la clave". Permanezca en el lado seguro. La tela jean siempre es una buena idea. Mantenga los accesorios mínimos. No use los patrones a menos que sea por debajo de una chaqueta.

Siempre es bueno añadir un toque de color en las uñas o los labios .. o ambos.

I typically shop for my family online because it's convenient during the cold months and it's in the comfort of my own home. Yet now that the weather is getting warmer I've started to shop in-stores more often. There's something about trying pieces on and touching the fabric that really adds on to the experience of loving an item of clothing. It's the exact same feeling when purchasing items for your kids. Many times I have bought items for my girls that they simply don't like, are uncomfortable on them, are the wrong size and they refuse to wear. To avoid any more waisted money I decided to visit a New York City children's clothing brand called Florence Fancy. 

Florence Fancy has re-invented themselves to be a luxury children's brand. When they first opened their doors they sold brands such as Oscar de La Renta and others. Now, their Upper East Side brownstone boutique solely sells their own Florence Fancy designs.

Mother's Day Gift Guide!

Mother's Day is quickly approaching and I wanted to share a few ideas for those special women in your life. I'm one to always buy things last minute and this year I promised myself I wouldn't allow that to happen again. 

We all know the boring/traditional way to get out of putting a thought into gifts, right; buying flowers. Reality is that flowers die and the memory dies with it, so.. purchase something they will remember, even if it's a box of chocolates (which they will get to eat). 

First I'm going to talk about this stunning Adriana Orsini Necklace. It's an 18k gold-plated bras necklace with triangular crystals that wrap all around the neck. This is one of those extra special gifts mom is never going to forget. She might even yell at you for spending thousands of dollars on it, yet you didn't:)

For one's mother who is into taking care of their skin I recommend gifting her the La Mer Moisturizer. We all know that La Mer products are miracle in a bottle and who wouldn't want this as a gift. I'll admit it is a little pricey but totally worth it!

This Floral print dress by Brooks Brothers is ideal for moms of any age. I really like the light and delicate floral print which pairs well with comfy flats, perfect for the warmer days ahead. I actually own something similar and love it.

I purchased two of these gifts (can't specify) for my mother and mother-in-law :)

This Floral Satin Scarf is an item I would surprise my Nana with. She lovessss neck scarfs as she is a bit older yet likes to remain stylish. This is also a great way to hide those unwanted neck wrinkles. 

For the younger Mother's I would recommend spoiling them with these beautiful Manolo Blahnik Suede BB Pumps. I remember the first time I was introduced to these cobalt blue satin Manolos (thanks Sarah Jessica Parker) & I've been obsessed ever since. These blush pumps are a more subtle everyday alternative to those in SATC.

Now this is something I would want for Mother's Day, Christmas, Birthday or any other occasion. This Tom Ford Limited Edition Lip and Nail box is a dream for moms like me. You all know how much I love Tom Ford luscious lipsticks and I cannot imagine owning every shade there is.

Another thing I currently own and highly recommend as a gift is the Peony & Blush Suede Collection. You know your mom will think of you every time she spritz it on.

Weekend Lineup

It's finally Friday and I'm currently planning a few outfits for this weekend. The weather has finally got a really check and we're expected to have a 75 degree day tomorrow! 

When it comes to outfits, I normally plan them out around a piece of clothing, but this time round I'm building the look based on the shoes. The first two shoes are from Shoedazzle 's Spring '15 Collection (Rihannon + Havai). The third pointed toe shoe is 'So Kate' by Christian Louboutin.

Por fin es Viernes y actualmente estoy planeando algunos trajes para este fin de semana. La temperatura va a estar a 75 grados, por fin! Yo normalmente planeo un equipo alrededor de una pieza de ropa, pero esta vez estoy construyendo la mirada sobre la base de los zapatos. Los dos primeros zapatos son de la colección primavera '15  de Shoedazzle (Rihannon + Havai). El tercer zapato es 'So Kate' de Christian Louboutin.

 I hope everyone is having a good week so far. Recently my family and I visited New Jersey for a few meetings and we ended up driving around NJ till late night. We came across this amazing viewpoint which overlooked Manhattan and I couldn't let this moment pass without capturing a few images. The view was surreal! Witnessing this view brought tears to my eyes (no joke!). You see, there are somethings we sometimes take for granted and being able to realize those things is a wake up call. It's so nice to live in the city and be in the middle of everything. But... It's even nicer to view the beautiful caos from afar. Just wanted to share!

Espero que todos estén teniendo una buena semana hasta ahora. Recientemente mi familia y yo visitamos a Nueva Jersey para una serie de reuniones y terminamos conduciendo por NJ hasta la noche. Nos encontramos con esta increíble vista panorámica de Manhattan y yo no podía dejar pasar este momento sin capturar algunas imágenes. La vista era surrealista! Es muy agradable vivir en la ciudad y estar en el medio de todo. Pero ... Es aún más agradable ver el hermoso caos desde lejos. Sólo quería compartir!

Why I’m Living Fabulosa with Olay; and How You Can Too

I've teamed up with Olay to create an article around a topic you all love and constantly request, skincare. I will also be talking about P & G's Orgullosa Program's latest event and share why I'm Living Fabulosa and how you can too. So let's get started:) 

On-The-Go

When on-the-go it's hard for me to properly put myself together (moms, pls stand up). I normally end up grabbing the first thing I see and it always turns out to be layers and layer of stuff. I originally wore this outfit -minus the jacket for a *quote on quote* "beautiful" Spring day in the city. I had to run a few errands and my sitter cancelled last minute so I had to bring the girls along. The weather man said it was going to be gorgeous, obvi it wasn't.. it became windy and started drizzling all of a sudden. Therefore, I had to grab another layer of clothing, which was this camel jacket which I've had since I was 17 years young. Just like the outfit, my face and hair aren't as perfect as I would want it to be. I'm sporting this crazy (initially messy) braid and extra large hoop earrings for some extra funk (uptown funk plays*). The best accessory for any mom is definitely a big bag, in this case this Henri Bendel backpack. But don't be fooled! This backpack can be used in many ways, take off the straps and you can carry it as a regular purse. Love it!!

Cuando en la marcha que es difícil para mí para poner correctamente junto a mí mismo. Yo normalmente termino agarrando lo primero que veo y siempre resulta ser capas y capas de cosas. Originalmente llevaba este traje -menos la chaqueta para una cita en lo que supuestamente seria un  "hermoso" día de primavera en la ciudad. Tuve que correr algunos recados y mi niñera canceló de último minuto así que tuve que llevar a las niñas a lo largo. Desafortunadamente, hizo mucho viento y comenzó a lloviznar de repente. Por lo tanto, tuve que tomar otra capa de ropa, que era esta chaqueta color camel que he tenido desde que tenía 17 años de edad. Me hice una trenza desordenada y me puse pendientes de aro grande para un poco de funk. El mejor accesorio para cualquier mamá es sin duda una gran bolsa, en este caso, esta mochila de Henri Bendel. Pero no se deje engañar! Esta mochila se puede utilizar de muchas maneras, quítale las correas y puedes llevarla como un bolso normal. Me encanta!!
