Welcome back to Walk-the-Walk Wednesday, where the topic is always fashion related.
Many of you were asking me what I wore during my trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. If it was up to me I would've worn denim shorts and a light chiffon top like this one by Moon River all day long. It wasn't too hot where I stayed ( Grand Hyatt in Playa del Carmen ) yet I still couldn't handle the humidity. As you can see my hair did not want to cooperate and it's why I had to do a messy braid.
I'll be honest; I'm kinda over the whole off-the shoulder trend. I've been seeing it everywhere and on everyone! Yet, I still manage to wear them. What's up with that? I think the reason why I can't stop wearing them is because I love exposing my shoulders. There's something really attractive about shoulders (to me). In one way or another it gives me a boost of confidence when I wear it. I also love how you don't need to show much skin when you rock an off-the shoulders top. Of course this is thee exception because I was on vacation. Nonetheless, if I was styling this top in NY I would totally rock ankle denim jeans with nice pointed pumps. & since we're on the topic of shoes.. these shoes are so uncomfortable! OMG! They look so fabulous but aren't made for walking. I got them from Shoedazzle and that explains why they are so painful.
This was my third day in Playa del Carmen and my second time wearing shorts in my life. Can you believe that! The first time was the day before this one. I will admit that I won't be wearing short-shorts like these unless it's 90 degrees+ or I'm on vacation. It's just not my favorite style. Although, I do like the way this look turned out.
