Best Pizza in NYC?

IMG_2553

When &Pizza invited me to their new NoHo (28st street btw Broadway and 5th) location, I didn't hesitate. The new shape and well though out ingredients made me very curious as to how different a pizza can taste.. and let me tell you, it's different alright!

After doing a little research I found out that &Pizza wasn't as 'new' as I though it was. &Pizza is actually a fast growing chain in the DC area. With dozens of news outlets naming them the Best pizza in DC, Best late night eats (DC), Best gluten-free menu (DC) and many more.

I steeped in and took some time to look at the menu. I wanted to try something out of the norm.. like the mushroom pizza or as &Pizza calls it.. Moonstruck, A Mushroom Experience.

I've always loved sweet flavors combined with goat cheese. Although, not all who try have succeeded... this one took me to the moon and back! The Moonstruck pizza had mushroom truffle, garlic, ricotta, mozzarella, mushroom, grilled onion, goat cheese and fig balsamic.

The first step was stretching the dough. Then a layer of mushroom sauce is added followed by a light drizzle of ricotta cheese, a sprinkle of mushroom and caramelized onions. The pizza then goes through a 2 minute oven and voila! Once the pizza comes out, they hit it with a light sprinkle of goat cheese, parsley and lastly the fig balsamic is added. This pizza is so delicious just writing about it makes me want it!!  If you like savory and sweet.. this one is for you.

Aside from the insanely great pizzas.. you can also find craft beverages, great music and did I mention you're also able to build your own pizza? This is something kids would enjoy very much. Now, I know why they were named them 'Best kid friendly restaurant in DC'.

There's no doubt about it. &Pizza serves delicious pizza made with incredible ingredients at an affordable prize and at great speed. It doesn't get any better.

I ended the night wobbling down these New York streets. & I lived happily ever after.
