New Moms Must Haves

Thee most frequently asked question in my inbox is "what products do you recommend for new moms?". There are of course many things I love to use on baby James like Mustela lotion and Burtsbees line of baby clothing. Since it’s almost impossible to name them all, I decided to categorize them and include them in different posts. Today’s post is all about New Moms Must Haves. These are items that I strongly recommend getting as it’s made my life so much easier.

I first discovered this product on the Amazon's recommended list. Wasn't too sure how I would like it because I was in the market for a small tub. This is something I can say I fell in love with from day one. I wouldn't recommend getting this if you have a stand up shower because it's best to submerge it in a tub. James favorite time is bath time because of this supporter. He kicks the water and is very comfortable the entire time. I also love how lightweight it is and the fact that it has a hook for easy storage. I hang mine up using a command hook on the back of the bathroom door. I can easily pick it up, place it in the tub while holding James in the other hand.

I’ve openly said how much I love the Thule Sleek Stroller on my social accounts for the following reasons. It’s extremely comfortable to maneuver, it has an extendable ventilated canopy that provides UV protection (UPF 50+), the reclining seat adjusts in three positions, comes in 5 different colors, it has reflective rims, a large cargo basket and did I mention that the Thule Sleek won the reddot award in 2018. Say no more!

I remember buying the Stokke stroller 10 years ago and complaining about how heavy it was to carry around and take on trips. The Thule Sleek is the total opposite. You can even go from infant-to-toddler to converting it to fit two kids. It’s a stroller that basically speaks for itself. View here.

Not sure if you guys know that I’m new to the whole breastfeeding scene even after having three kids. Fun fact; I never produced any milk with Jayleen or Hazel. So you could imagine the excitement I had when I realized I could produce for baby James.

Nanobebe bottles were the first bottles I introduced James to. Other than the fact that they looks super cool, the design also serves a purpose; it preserves the nutrients in your breastmilk. I also love how the milk spreads evenly across the surface area and warms up quickly and evenly (unlike every other bottle I’ve used). You can read all about the science behind this revolutionary bottle here.

You can find them at TargetBuy Buy Babyand more.

If you'd like a chance at winning these bottles + everything else on your baby registry,  Nanobebe is having a huge giveaway throughout the month of October on their Instagram account. You wont want to miss.

Over the 4th of July weekend my family visited one of our favorite places, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort in Cambridge, Maryland. James was only a few weeks old and was a little startled by the fireworks. I wish I would've known about these headphone back then!

A few weeks ago we all went to the movie theater and I posted a photo on my instastory. So many of you asked how was I able to take baby James to the theater and this is how!

This is one of those products that many of you are unsure to splurge on. I've gotten tons of messages asking if this is worth buying and let me tell you, IT IS!

I used this religiously for the first few months after James was born. He would nap during the day in it and sleep during the night in it, in between Moe and I. I just wanted him as close as possible :)

Over the Summer we also took it to the park and placed the DockATot on a blanket on the floor and picnicked comfortably. Don't worry, you can remove the outer piece and wash it.

Now that James is 4 months (today!) I lay him on the floor in my bathroom when I'm taking a shower (if theres no one home to care for him). A girls gotta shower right!? I know this is TMI but I'm going to keep it real.. I love this product. It has been such a life saver.

Living in New York is a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing because it’s the most beautiful multicultural city in the world and of course a place of opportunity ( I’m not just saying that because I was born and raised here)… and a curse because we have to make the best out of the small space we have. That’s why this hiccapop Nursery Organizer is perfect for keeping my go-to items for baby James within reach and you can’t go wrong with the price!

This Happ diaper bag is the only diaper bag I use. It's stylish, lightweight and it has tons of pockets.

This is one of the hardest decisions I had to make because there were so many to choose from. Do I buy an expensive carrier or one thats only $27! I clearly went with the $27 choice and surprisingly it was a good one. It's practical.. and sometimes practical is all we need. It's not lush like the $200 ones but it works. The material is basic, clips work fine, converts into 4 different ways and it's comfortable for baby James, for me and for my wallet.. so it's a win win.

I've always said, cribs are such an overrated product just like changing tables... unless it's a convertible crib like this one. It basically grows with your baby as it turns into a toddler bed and daybed.

Skip Hop Explore and More $120

Last but not least I have to talk about this activity center. I had this on my baby registry and my cousin in-law bough it for James. We just started using it as James feet now reach the bottom and he is crazy about it. The seat easily moves around and he loves to bounce and play. I even feed him cereal while he's playing. His favorite part is pressing the buttons on the bottom with his feet and seeing it through the clear window on the tray. This activity center also converts into a play table. So you don't have to get rid of it until baby is one year old..
