We've all heard about the hit Netflix series "Orange is the Black". My fellow Dominican 'paisano' Jackie Cruz plays the role of 'Flaka', the bold and very outspoken inmate who works in the kitchen. Just like the character she portays, Jackie is all about style, glamour and bold lips.
Today I will be sharing Jackie's favorite Spring L’Oréal products which also happen to be a few of my favorites as well. Let's get started!
Jackie's best beauty trick is pairing a cat eye and bold lips together. She uses L’Oréal Paris Colour Rich Extraordinaire Liquid Lip Colour. I got the chance to test this lip color and it is extremely rich and silky smooth. The color is very pigmented, shiny and it smells devine. It is infused with many oils to help deliver perfection in three dimension. It's available in 16 different shades and retails for only $9.99.
Jackie reveals that her oldest beauty tip from mom is putting smashed avocado on her hair once a month. This provides an inmense amount of shine instantly. A product Jackie loves using on her hair is the Advanced Haircare Total Repair Extreme Split Ends Fixer. To keep the hair sleek and frizz free. I'm currently using this on my hair while on vacation. It really flattened my naughty and stubborn hairs. This is a dual action leave-in treatment that helps to repair broken fibers and mends split ends. The reconstructive gel and resurfacing serum are mixed upon application to penetrate layers deep inside the hair fiber. Apply to damp hair after showering to help seal split ends. This retails for only $6.99.
Jackie spills the beans when it comes to what she hates. She says "I hate my large pores! But I keep them at bay with L’Oréal Paris youth Code Pore Vanisher. This takes a breakthrough approach to fighting pores by targeting them on three dimensions, number, size and depth. Airlite povodos within the formula to give the skin a soft-focus finish on the surface of the pore. Formulated with the highest concentration Perline-P, it will also strengthen and tighten to shrink the apperance of pore size overtime. This retails for $24.99.
Jackie and I share a few of the same things. Beauty icon, Selena. Favorite city, NYC. I also secretly discovered that she loves spicy food! We're like twins!
She cannot live without lipstick, loves a bright color manicure and loves spicying things up by changing her hair color. A style that has been trending lately is Ombre. I tried giving myself this trending touch and it didn't go as planned. For a glamourous subtle ombre affect try L’Oréal Paris Superior Preference Ombre Touch. This is a great way to illuminate your current look by adding streaks of light to the lengths and tips of your hair. The expert touch Applicator which is fine-toothed plastic brush, fits snugly onto the fingertip, provides maximum control as the brush glides smoothly over hair. This retails for $9.99.
A great color for this Spring season is L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail in Wild and Free. With two new bold purples in the Trendsetter Collection the fashion-sorward colors were created to add a bold pop to your everyday look. This nail color provides pure, rich coverage high-wattage shine and rare color intensity. The polishes deliver supreme shine and color intensity thanks to Crystal Acrylics shine agents and ultra-finely dispersed color pigments. Developed with durable film-forming polymers, Colour Rich keeps nails strong coat after coat, while also providing maximum coverage and 10 days of hold. This retails for $5.99.
A great liner by L’Oréal Paris is Silkissime Eyeliner by Infallible. This is a unique silky pencil liner with a creamy, liquid formula. Designed to glide on like silk, this eyeliner can be applied to the lash or waterline to create a range of intense, edgy looks. It promises up to 16 hours of smudge-free wear and comes in four shades. This retails for $8.99.
