La mirada de hoy es una casual y uno muy solicitado. Cuero, Tejidos y botines para el otoño, perfecto no! Algunas cosas van a cambiar en el próximo par de semanas. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice

One of my favorite late 80's movies (even though I wasn't born when it came out) was Beetlejuice.  I grew up watching this classic with my older brother and hoping a second one would be made, and that might just happen (rumors). Today's look was inspired by Beetlejuices costume and I thought this would be perfect for a girly Halloween inspiration.

Una de mis películas favoritas de finales de los años 80 (a pesar de que yo no había nacido cuando salió) fue Beetlejuice. Crecí viendo esta película clásica con mi hermano mayor y con la esperanza de que un día hicieran otra, y creo que mi sueño se va a realizar pronto. Este look de hoy fue inspirada por el traje que llevaba Beetlejuice y pensé que seria una buena inspiración para Halloween que se acerca muy pronto.

The Delta Temp₂O™ technology has 6 different settings as well as an led light that displays the temperature in-colors to help avoid cold/hot surprises. When you turn the water on the LED light will turn blue as it's 73 degrees, when it become a little warmer and it reaches 103 it turns purple and when it reaches 113 it changes to red which means 'Warning I'm H-O-T'. You're able to change the settings by simply pressing a button on the handle. With all these options I can last hours in the bathroom, if i could.

Crest 3D White Whitening Challenge

Happy Friday guys!

I'm so excited to announce that I will be taking the two week, Crest 3D White whitening challenge using Crest 3D White Whitestrips Luxe Supreme FlexFit. I've never tried any whitening products before and never thought I needed them because I don't drink coffee nor do I smoke. I think part of it was being in denial and not wanting to admit that my teeth could be a little whiter. I finally gave-in after seeing before-and-after photos of this challenge and wanted to share my transformation with you guys from start to finish.

Red Stripes + Bell Bottoms

These 7 For All Mankind jeans are the first pair of high-waisted bell bottoms and the latest addition to my closet. When I was younger it was all I wore and as I grew older I simply put them aside to give for donation. I'm totally going back to my old ways. I ordered these a few weeks ago in a bigger size and since then I've lost a few pounds. As soon as I shot these photos, I ran to my tailor and got them hemmed. Can't wait to show you how much better the look on.

Estos 7 For All Mankind pantalones vaqueros son el primer par de 'pantalones de talle alto campana' y la última adición a mi armario. Cuando era más joven era todo lo que usaba y cuando fui creciendo simplemente los puso a un lado para dar a donación. Creo que estoy volviendo a mis viejas costumbres. Ordene estos hace unas semanas en un tamaño más grande y desde entonces he perdido unos cuantos kilos. Tan pronto como me tire estas fotos, corrí a mi sastre y los arregle. This is the second Jigsaw London dress I own and perhaps my favorite! You might remember me wearing this 'Blue Depths Print Dress' a few weeks ago to meet Martha Stewart (which she complimented) here. I also wore it to the Icons Of Style Awards with the very popular magazine, Vanidades (here) and I finally got the chance to take photos with it a few days ago. This very sophisticated dress needs minimal accessories because 'beauty doesn't need attention'. Ok- I'll stop with the quotes.. but seriously, I love this dress!

Reminiscing, Island Joy

It's Flashback Friday and I wanted to share a few photos that never made it to the previous blog posts. 

If you don't already know, my parents were born and raised in the Dominican Republic. DR is a place that I hold very close to my heart and that I visit annually. Every time my family and I go we stay at a different place. On our last visit we stayed in Sosua and the time before that we stayed in Samana. 

Dominican Republic is the only place in the world that I can tolerate the heat. It could be 115 degrees and for some very strange reason, I will be OK with it. 

A year ago I visited Bangladesh, a place where the weather gets very high.. I mean 100+ degrees high. While there I had to wear traditional clothing which is; cotton from head to toe (pants, long sleeve top and a scarf). This is believed to help keep you cool from the sun, but, I was dying!! Most of the time I wanted to stay indoors because the sun would be beaming like crayyyzy!  

Like I said before, there's just something about Dominican Republic that simply makes the heat tolerable and enjoyable. I hope you all enjoy these precious photos from our Dominican Republic family vacation.

Es Viernes de recuerdos y yo quería compartir algunas fotos que nunca llegaron a las entradas del blog anteriores.

Si usted no lo sabe ya, mis padres nacieron y se criaron en la República Dominicana. Este es un lugar que tengo muy cerca de mi corazón y que visito cada año. Cada vez que mi familia y yo vamos nos quedamos en un lugar diferente. En nuestra última visita nos alojamos en Sosua y el tiempo antes nos alojamos en Samaná.

República Dominicana es el único lugar en el mundo que puedo tolerar el calor. Hace un año visité Bangladesh, un lugar donde el clima se pone muy alto .. me refiero a más de 100 grados de altura. Cuando estuve aya tuve que usar la ropa tradicional que es; algodón de la cabeza a los pies (pantalones, camiseta de manga larga y una bufanda). Las personas creen que ayuda a mantenerse fresco del sol, pero, yo me estaba muriendo!! La mayor parte del tiempo quería quedarme en casa porque el sol estaba demasiado radiante!

Como he dicho antes, hay algo acerca de República Dominicana que simplemente hace que el calor sea tolerable y agradable. Hoy les enseño fotos de mis vacaciones con mi familia.

I don't know how many times my family and I passed through this restaurant and didn't even notice it. The place has 3-4 cheesy photos outside the restaurant of a few things they serve. I honestly think it looks very unappetizing and doesn't do the place justice. This is a great example to the famous metaphorical phrase 'don't judge a book by it's cover'.
