Everything is better as a SET

I've been wanting to wear this Love Buzz Strappy Bodycon Set from Tobi for awhile now. Over the weekend I visited Lake Placid, NY and finally got to wear it to a private lunch with my husband (indoors). 

Like the title states, 'Everything is better as a SET'! It's much easier wear when you only need to think about the shoes and accessories. You can also wear the items separately as I did in a previous post, here. I paired the set with my Gucci sandals.

A Party City Party

I'm so excited to finally share photos of my girls birthday party!
It took me a while to post only because I wanted to share as information as possible.

On April 9th, I celebrated Leanne's and Zareena's birthday at our house.

I wanted to do something special this year round, since I've never celebrated their birthdays this way. We annually cut a small cake (just the 4 of us) and sing happy birthday to each of them since their birthday is only ten days apart. 

The theme of the party was initially cupcakes. Unfortunately, a few things didn't arrive on time and I had to get creative with what we had. Continue reading to see more photos and find out how all this was possible.

New York Minute

Over the weekend I attended a Tanger Outlets + StyleWatch event and wore this look. Since I didn't post it on social media I thought it would be a good idea to share the details on here.

Initially I wanted to wear a skirt which came with this crop-top as a set from Tobi. It got chilly so I had to change into these awesome pants. I've had these Zamrie pants for a few years now, and I've never styled them the same. They are super versatile and perfect all year round. Throw on a denim jacket like this one from Madewell + a fedora and you're ready to go! Let's not forget a pop of color! This bag is one of my favorites from Henri Bendel.

El fin de semana asistí a un evento de Tanger Outlets + StyleWatch. Este fue el look que llevaba. Ya que no lo compartí en los medios sociales pensé que sería una buena idea compartir los detalles aquí.

Inicialmente quería usar una falda, que vino con este crop-top como un conjunto de Tobi. Hacía frío, así que tuve que cambiar me en estos pantalones. He tenido estos pantalones desde hace años, y nunca los he puesto de la misma manera. Son super versátil y perfecto todo el año. Me tire una chaqueta de mezclilla de Madewell + un sombrero de fieltro.

No puedes olvidar un toque de color! Esta bolsa es una de mis favoritas de Henri Bendel.

Another year, another Mother's Day!

2015 was the year of 2015 was the year of growth for me. I've learned a lot about myself and my family. I also learned to put more thought into everything I do and that includes gifts I give to my friends and family.

Bringing you back to December 2011 when I first started this blog for two reasons. One being, I needed to express myself with a broader audience through fashion/lifestyle which is something I've always loved. The other reason I started NYTM was because I didn't find inspiration from any other young mothers in the industry. I saw a huge gap which I soon fill when I started blogging (according to publishers and my readers). I am so grateful for all I have achieved these few years, the amazing companies I have worked with and the exclusive brands who have allowed me to feature of their pieces on NYTM. As you all see, a lot has changed throughout these few years, my style has evolved and my voice has only gotten louder. Yet, one thing remains the same...And that one thing is being a mother.

Spring Floral || JCPenney

Hello April and Happy Friday!
Nothing screams out Spring like a pretty floral dress. Especially if it's affordable!! 

I visited JCPenney the other day and picked up a few goodies for Spring. One of the items I bought was this blue floral dress along with this beautiful detailed cardigan. & that's not the best part!! JCPenney had a sweet deal which I took advantage of. I bought one item and the other one came out to 1 cent. Can you believe it!? When I come across deals like this I feel like I've hit the jackpot and I have to make the purchase.
