Last Thursday my family and I attended an event at the
Grand Hyatt Hotel. The focus of the event was to inform us about healthy eating. Healthy breakfast to be exact. As the first and most important meal of the day it should be the best. Also, we were introduced to Hyatt's new
For Kids, By Kids menu.
Hyatt wants to offer healthier options for kids while they are traveling. The
For Kids, By Kids menu provides more fun, fresh and flavorful food for kids. All items on the
For Kids, By Kids menu were created hand-in-hand with Hyatt's food and beverage team and 12 year-old chef, Haile Thomas, who cooked for the First Lady Michele Obama and tested all the dishes on the menu.
I love exposing my children to new and exciting flavors. Specially with my Dominican culture and my husband's Bengali background. Hyatt Hotels offer so many options with a healthy twist. I love how everything is being looked over by a 12 year old. This means everything is kid friendly and so good for them. If that's not amazing, I don't know what is.
The Kids, By Kids Menu has delicious items like spaghetti and meatballs, shaken chopped salad and Haile's famous Salmon Teriyaki, which has become the most popular dish at the
Grand Hyatt.
El jueves pasado mi familia y yo asistimos a un evento en el hotel Grand Hyatt. El objetivo del evento fue para informarnos sobre la alimentación saludable. Desayuno saludable para ser exactos. Como la primera y más importante comida del día debe ser la mejor. También fuimos presentados a el nuevo menu de For Kids, By Kids.
Los Hoteles Hyatt quieren ofrecer opciones más saludables para los niños mientras están viajando. El menú For Kids, By Kids ofrece más diversión, fresca y sabrosa comida para los niños. Todos los elementos en el menú de For Kids, By Kids fueron creados mano a mano con el equipo de Hyatt y la cocinera de 12 años de edad, Haile Thomas, quien cocinó para la primera dama Michele Obama y a probado todos los platos en el menú.
Me encanta exponer a mis hijos a sabores nuevos e interesantes. Especialmente con mi cultura Dominicana y la cultura bengalí de mi marido. Me encanta como los Hoteles de Hyatt ofrecen tantas opciones con un toque saludable. Tambien me encanta cómo todo sobrepasa por una niña de 12 años. Esto significa que todo lo que tienen en el menú es adecuado para niños . Si eso no es increíble, no sé lo que es.

Hyatt’s For Kids, By Kids Family Cook-Off Contest
To enter the contest, adults must submit photos of homemade breakfast dishes to the Hyatt Facebook page by July 31. Upon completion of the entry period, a panel of judges will announce five finalists on August 2. From August 5-August 26, the Hyatt Facebook community will have the opportunity to help pick the winning dish amongst the five finalists. At the same time, a second panel of judges – featuring Hyatt’s Food & Beverage team and 12 year old chef Haile Thomas – will be cooking and judging the five finalists’ meals to help determine the winner. All entries will be judged on a number of criteria including creativity, appearance, flavor, interactivity, ease of execution and more. Once all votes are tallied from the panel of judges and the general public, Hyatt will announce the winner.
The winner will receive a trip for four people to any Hyatt in the continental United States, including airfare up to $2,000, as well as a spot for the winning breakfast dish on the For Kids, By Kids menu.
