Back To School Fashion For Kids

I remember growing up ‘back-to-school’ was one of my favorite times of the year. There was just so much excitement about getting new clothes and new school supplies (i’ve always been a sucker for stationery). I love it when each year my kids feel the same excitement I felt when I was younger. I allow them to handpick items they love such as graphic tee shirts and pieces with pops of colors. Yet, I also pick versatile pieces like dark jeans, a preppy blazer and white sneakers. Pieces that can be worn over and over again are pieces that should be in everyone’s closet including children.

In The Shadow

Lately, the days feel longer and the nights feel shorter.
Never have I ever wanted Summer to be gone like I do right now.
Our home 'renovation' is taking longer than expected and I continue to delay my (life) plans until everything is completely set and done.. but I don't think I can take it any longer.

My initial plan was to finish the renovation in my new house and enjoy the fresh start that goes along with it. All while being re-inspired to create new content since I desperately need it. Of course nothing ever goes as planned and I've come to notice that in life you just have to do things without overthinking. Without over-planning. & without waiting for things to be handed to you on a silver platter.

I've been saving lots of content (for later) only because I'm huge on visuals/photography and at the moment my life is anything but. Of course I've also become an expert procrastinator this past month. My house is currently upside down, boxes everywhere, 80% of my clothes are put away, we've been eating out every single day because our gas is still not available and every thing just seems out of place.. including my head. The lack of content has cost me to loose so much faith in myself and I'm putting a stop to this. right. now! I know that if I wait any longer I will not only loose you but also loose myself.

Enough is enough.
I'm here.
& I'm not going anywhere!

Best Pizza in NYC?

When &Pizza invited me to their new NoHo (28st street btw Broadway and 5th) location, I didn't hesitate. The new shape and well though out ingredients made me very curious as to how different a pizza can taste.. and let me tell you, it's different alright!

After doing a little research I found out that &Pizza wasn't as 'new' as I though it was. &Pizza is actually a fast growing chain in the DC area. With dozens of news outlets naming them the Best pizza in DC, Best late night eats (DC), Best gluten-free menu (DC) and many more. 

New Family Vlogging Channel

I've finally decided to expand our family brand and start an actual vlogging channel. Over the years my life has been super overwhelming due to all the topics I am able to cover and that sometimes can be a big problem. I wanted to wait until my girls were of age to post and download their own videos which would eventually be a huge help for me. This mean new kid friendly content for y'all.

The new Youtube channel is called FamilyFlowerr (with two rr's) and my girls will be posting kid relatable content. For now we're just uploading old videos which can give you a perspective of what to expect in the future. Now your kids can subscribe and be apart of our adventurous lives. Subscribe here.

New Liquid Lip Velvet by Burberry

Happy Saturday my beauty lovers!

Michael, my new mail man just knocked on my door and brought me an unexpected little package.

I could not wait to share what was inside with all of you.

Burberry was sweet enough to send me three of their new #LiquidLipVelvet lip products. The collection includes 14 new shades that go from soft to vibrant plum. These shades are matte cream colors with a comforting whipped texture that last up to eight hours.

SimplyScrub Review

Moving to a new house and unboxing all of my belongings has taken longer than I thought. It's true what they say  "you don't know what you have until you move".

While unpacking, I came across a few goodies that were sent to me last month for review. I've been testing these 100% organic scrubs (made in USA) and I am happy to share my thoughts on the brand SimplyScrub.

Skirt Steak with Pistachio Chimichurri Sauce

 

Servings: 4 | Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

·         1 (1 ½ to 2lbs) skirt steak

·         Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

·         ½ bunch parsley

·         4 cloves of garlic

·         1 cup of Wonderful Pistachios Roasted & Salted

·         ½ cup olive oil

·         1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste

Brigitte Macron in Alexandre Vauthier

I don't normally share anyone else style on here but I am utterly obsessed with this outfit Brigitte Macron wore yesterday. Brigitte wore an Alexandre Vauthier red wool crepe jacket from the Fall-Winter 2017/18 collection and a full-on black top, pants and shoes. This look will most definitely be up on my inspiration board this Fall. 

I bought A House!

Here's the main reason of my absence. 

If you follow me on social media then you probably already know, Moe and I bought our very first house last week!! I didn't want to mention anything sooner because initially we were going for a different house and at the end it didn't workout. Therefore, this time around I wanted to wait until I received the keys to tell all of you. Believe me when I say that I was itching to give hints but didn't want anything to fall apart. 

Since then I've been living and breathing Pinterest. A tool I never really used before. I've been using Pinterest to get inspiration for the two main rooms that I will be renovating.. the living/kitchen space and bathroom. It's not going to be easy living in the house while renovation is happening but we have no other choice. Although it would be nice to go on a vacation and come back to a brand new space.. ah, doesn't hurt to dream.

Now lets get back to reality... All of our stuff is currently in boxes and its almost impossible to put a decent outfit together. I guess I'll be living in pj's for the next few weeks. Wish me luck!
