TGIF again! Today's post is perfect for those who are looking to have a little fun this weekend. I'm always searching for fun places to go in New York City with my friends and family. While searching for 'fun places in nyc ' in google, I came across Lucky Strike. Friday the 13th was my husband's birthday and we wanted to do something fun but at the same time a little intimate. We spoke to a clerk on the phone during the week and told her our plans. She suggested that we came early (7pm) to get that intimate feel before the place gets jammed packed since it was a Friday night. The trendy play room for grownups has countless activities like billiards, ping pong, bowling and much much more.

A few perks that I found during my visit were the couches instead of uncomfortable chairs. I know this might not be a big deal to some but it is to me. Comfort should always be a big deal. One thing I loved was the great music constantly playing in the background. It's such a fun environment filled with neon lights and elegant decor. Everything really gets you in the mood of having a great time. Since it was just the two of us, we didn't want to order much to eat. We ordered the finger licking good Estaban's chicken nachos and 1 order of pulled beef sliders (which was not my favorite). As you all know I have an obsession with spicy beverages. I love testing restaurants and seeing how far they will go in pleasing a customer. I told Siobhan (the waitress) I wanted something spicy and sweet with orange and lemon. They came up with a delightful beverage that does not have a name as it was made to my request. Obviously this won them a couple of points in book:)

Lucky Strike located on 42nd street & 12 avenue was far from what I expected. A great place for kids and adult birthday parties, holiday parties, family gatherings or just to hangout with a group of friends. Prices are pretty decent but if you're looking to save make sure to checkout their daily specials here

I want to give a huge thanks to Shannon, Christian and Siobhan for making our Friday the 13th a good one.
