Plaid and Studs

I'm pleased to say that this outfit was inspired by my honorary student, Zareena. After getting a sweet letter from the principal last week informing me about the astonishing grades and behavior of Zareena. They decided to nominate her as 'Student of the Month' and I couldn't be more proud. Today is thee official ceremony and she will be receiving her certificate/award. I promise you, I will be hanging that award up on my wall for sure! With that, I leave you with a trendy school girl #ootd. 

I've always been a fan of wearing a variety of prints and textures. Plaid is one of those awesome and timeless prints that I love. Today I decided to mix plaid with studs and a hint of alligator skin with this clutch/wallet. What To Do and Where To Go This Halloween

My god! October flew and Halloween is around the corner. I still haven't decided what I will be wearing nor what my kids will be dressed as. If you guys have any suggestions on what I or my girls should be this halloween please tweet me @nytrendymoms. Despite not having anything to wear, I do have many places to go with my children and friends. Below you will find a list of kid friendly events, haunted houses and trendy places for adults. Rebel In The Village

I've always been drawn to wearing black at night, as most of us are. There's a mysterious factor and inner rebel that needs to be unleashed at night, right? This is what I wore to dine with my hubby at Sotto 13 last week (read post here).

Rhode Island Road Trip

Every year my family and I take a road trip in the beginning of Fall in the hopes of seeing the leaves change color. It has become a family tradition that my kids and I look forward to every year. This time round we wheeled all the way to Newport, Rhode Island.

Ebony

Theres something about silk blouses that make a girl feel extra feminine and confident. I wore this outfit for a business meeting a few days ago. These boots have only been worn once before on my 'Leopard Me In' post. I love how high and comfortable they are, they would look awesome with some dark skinnies and this silk blouse. This can also be a twist to your workwear. Did I mention I wore this skirt backwards? Always put a twist to things.

Me e puesto estas botas solamente una vez antes en mi 'Leopard Me In' post. Me encanta lo alto y cómodos que son, y se verían increíble con pantalones oscuros y esta blusa de seda. Esto también puede ser una buena substitucion a su ropa de trabajo. ¿He mencionado que llevaba esta falda al revés? Siempre me gusta ponerle un giro a las cosas.

Intense Moisture Cream

Yesterday I announced on my 'Baby It's Cold Outside' post that today I would be letting you-in on the secret for having moist and dewy skin. As I mentioned on a previous post, I have combination skin and It's really hard finding products that won't make me breakout. I discovered this Johnson's Baby Intense Moisture Cream accidentally. In the hopes of reviewing this lotion for a -kids post, I ended up liking it for myself and using it on a daily basis as a face and body moisturizer.

All moms know that after applying lotion on our kids, we tend to wear whatever is left on our hands.  I caught myself rubbing the leftover lotion on my elbows and face. & that was the start of something new.

Baby It's Cold Outside

Part of why I love Fall and Winter so much is because I can wear oversized sweaters, drink hot chocolate in my backyard and feel like in that moment the world stopped just for me. This outfit was inspired by just that.

When in the mood for hanging out in the West Village with a couple of friends I highly recommend stopping by Sotto 13, located on 140 w 13th street (btwn 6th and 7th ave). The trendy Pizza, cocktails and Tapas bar is known for having the best brunch in the nation. From a DIY Prosecco bar to a $29 All you can drink brunch. I decided to give this place a try last Sunday night with my husband. I think we can all agree in the importance of details and I will explain this experience as detailed as possible.
