IMG_3808

Ahhhh! Another amazing collection of products launched by one of the most influential beauty bloggers in the industry, Huda Kattan. The new collection of Liquid Matte Lipsticks is sold at  Sephora.com and the Sephora app ($20). I was able to get my hands on two shades before the launch. Continue reading to see me wear Venus (nude) and Cheerleader (red).

Huda wanted to release her new collection on National Lipstick Day (which is today!), a day the Huda Beauty brand officially owns according to the National Day Calendar!  Huda hopes to empower women on National Lipstick Day and celebrate beauty and confidence. She’s asking that women post their “power lip", what makes them feel beautiful and ready to conquer the day, and tag #NationalLipstickDay and #HudaBeauty on social media sites.

In A Field Of Sunflowers

IMG_3824

Over the weekend I visited a field of sunflowers in Connecticut and I couldn't pass the chance of doing a shoot with this Suno dress. You wont believe how long I've had this dress for and this was the first time I ever wore it. It's been almost two years of this little gem sitting in my closet. You know when you get something and you just forget that you have it? Well, thats what happened here.
I'm so glad I waited for the right moment to wear it since I feel this is the perfect setting and great color contrast.

The chocker I'm wearing is by Erin Dana. I'm wearing it backwards because I wanted to show the strings. On the other side it says NYTM :) & if you see the last photo on this post you'll see Leanne wearing her customized Erin Dana choker as well.

Best Bike Paths Across New York

IMG_3788

I'm completely new to biking in the city with my family. Believe it or not, we've never owned bikes until last week when my husband and I bought our girls two bicycles. I knew that buying bikes was only step 1. Teaching them how to ride would take time and patience and what better time then during Summer vacation. Moe and I also got bikes from Sixthreezero and I thought it would be perfect to tie it in with this highly requested story. I've teamed up with Zillow to share a helpful guide to the best bike paths across New York.

Wearing Pink

IMG_3213

Today I'm feeling very pinky and extra girly. Pink has been my happy color lately and I've been wearing it quite a bit. Today I'm wearing this Design History dress. The dress is sleeveless and I'm not really into exposing my upper body so, I went ahead and wore a super comfy shirt from J. Jill. L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask Review

IMG_3319

I've had a clay mask obsession for as long as I've been into makeup/skincare. I always tend to go for the charcoal masks because they always seem to detoxify and brighten my skin. This always results in a fresh and more even complexion.

Today I'm going to be talking about L'Oreal Paris newly released skincare innovation, Pure-Clay Mask. Pure-Clay Mask is a line of three hybrid cleansers and treatments offering a different benefit in each mask. One detoxifies, another mattifies and the other exfoliates and refines skin texture.
L'Oreal Paris was nice enough to sent me the entire Pure- Clay Mask collection to review and let you guys know what I think about these new products. Continue reading to see my full review.

Off The Shoulder

IMG_3724

Yesterday my family and I attended the Bastille Festival on 60th street in Manhattan. My husband is utterly obsessed with the France soccer team and he knew they were broadcasting the game from the festival (update* France lost to Portugal). Leanne and Zareena knew there was going to be a Kids Corner with games and face painting. & I knew there was going to be food. Therefore, it was a win-win scenario for everyone.

We all had a completely different matching outfit planned for the festival but had to change right after breakfast. Now I know to feed kids when they are still in pjs.

The breakfast scene was only the beginning of my troubles yesterday. I was having so many wardrobe malfunctions, you have no idea! When I found this skirt in a vintage shop I knew it was a little big on me but it wasn't a big deal. I knew that I could take it to a tailor or pin it myself. Well... I've worn this skirt twice and both times pinned it in the back. There's just one little problem, every time I sit the pin comes off and if I don't pin it right away the skirt falls off. I promise I am not pregnant! This skirt fits me a little big and the way I pinned it makes me look bloated in the photos. Just saying. I think it's about time I learn my lesson and quit being lazy. I'm taking it to the tailor tomorrow!

We've seen so much of this off-the-shoulder trend by now, it's almost sickening. Yet, I've never seen one like this Crochet Lace off-the-shoulder top from Nasty Gal. This top is cropped and pairs well with anything. If you're a shorts kind-off girl or a skirt kind-off girl, this top makes any outfit look more elevated and interesting.

I initially wanted to wear red Pigalle pumps by Christian Louboutins but last minute changed my mind due to all the walking we had to do. These Topshop shoes were my bff's throughout the day. They are super comfy and unique. I bought them a few weeks ago while they were on sale. Unfortunately, they are sold out right now. Nonetheless, I linked a similar pair below.

The Secret Life of Pets

Feels good to be back to work after a well needed week off.

Today I'm taking you back to when I was 5 years old and had dreams of becoming a Veterinarian. That was actually what I wanted to be 'when I grow up'. I was and still am the biggest animal lover and it's why my biggest dream was to work with animals. Growing up I owned everything you could possibly imagine. My house was a zoo, no doubt about it and the coolest part was that my mom didn't mind. At one point we had lobsters, turtles, hamsters, birds and dogs, all in the same house. It may seem crazy because it was. My brother and I would do anything for our pets. Having a long day of school and after school activities took over our childhood. It was only when we returned home to our pets that we felt like kids again. There's something critical about a child having some type of responsibility from an early age. This prepares them for their future. It was only 10 years ago when I met Moe (my husband) that everything completely changed for me.

When I married my husband and moved in our own place I didn't have any children or pets at the time so I felt a little lonely when my husband was at work. One day I brought up the 'pets' topic and told him that I would really love to rescue a puppy. This was when he informed me about his allergic reactions to dogs. My dreams of having a house filled with dogs were crushed and thrown by the sidewalk waiting for the garbage truck to pick them up.

In the meantime I settled for Bubbles (a beautiful pink betta fish). Until years later when my brother stopped by our house with a birthday surprise for my daughters. I didn't expect anything more than  toys to fill their basket with. Little did I know, after that day our family would expand.

Eid Makeup look + Tutorial

Eid is quickly approaching and I wanted to share a beautiful dramatic look which I tend to wear on special celebrations. This look can be created with different colors like blues, browns, purples etc. I just wanted to use the color green since it is my favorite color.

I really hope you guys enjoy this post. Let me know your thoughts on the comment box below. Happy Friday/4th of July weekend!
